Department Overview
Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Operations actively engage in Lean Methodology with visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems and create standard work. By working together as One Electric. One Team. We are delivering for our hometowns. Electric Operations is comprised of approximately 6,500 coworkers.
Position Summary
Coordinates and assembles work and resource plans that align with the budget plan. Monitors weekly and annual execution of the work plan by the Transmission and Distribution execution organizations. Understands the effectiveness of, and recommend improvements in business process, practice and procedures as they relate to the identification of known work and work management data quality in the various work management systems. May work closely with the GO Business Finance team to monitor and reallocate budget between programs and maintain an overall view of budget performance.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Stockton headquarters on a weekly basis or as business needs require.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired in this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $116,000
California Mid:$150,000 California Maximum: $184,000
Job Responsibilities
Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions to enhance controls and mitigate risks. Leads peers and stakeholders to develop a prioritized and optimized long range and annual work plan portfolio. Leads, tracks and reports on work progression. Supports assigned region to achieve portfolio efficiencies, and initiates partnerships to develop integrated work plans and communicationsEnsures effective work&resource planning and scheduling for the service territory, and ensures resources align with budget. Assists in the development of contingency plans for the portfolio of work in the annual and long-term plans. Presents findings and makes recommendations to management or others within organization.Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives. Organizes and leads cross-functional project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions. Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience 7 years of relevant work experience with steady progression of responsibilities Desired:
Comprehensive Microsoft suite proficiency. Adept to resolving complex issues. Proactive learner and thrives in a dynamic environment. Utility industry experience, or related Experience working in either Service Planning, Estimating, Planning, and/or Construction Purpose, Virtues and Stands
