Stratford Schools is looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging designs and collateral across traditional and digital media platforms. You will work in a team environment as part of the Marketing & Communications department to produce quality work within a fast-paced environment. In this role, you are required to be highly creative and have a sharp eye for visual detail. Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and promote our company mission across our growing network of schools.

In this position, you will work closely with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager and  Marketing Coordinator. This position reports into the Director of Marketing.

Primary responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

Using design skills in a wide variety of projects including print and digital media

Creating print and digital ads and  releasing to publications as per the media plan

New campaign development

Working on production-oriented projects like flyers, brochures, direct mail postcards, banners

Adapting and resizing of existing assets to suit print and digital media

Coordinating with the Summer Program team to create and/or adapt assets as per schedule

End to end management of the direct mail program for Open Houses and Summer Programs

Creating assets for all digital and outdoor displays

Vendor management

Working on media plans

Other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor

 

You will also:

Offer input in creative meetings and brainstorming sessions 

Meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment 

Communicate with team members to receive and incorporate feedback 

Keep a finger on the pulse of current trends 

 

What we are looking for:

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Adeptness with leading design software packages 

Staying organized with projects and delivering as per schedule

A great attitude when it comes to interacting with teams

Some creative industry experience is a plus, whether through internships or full time employment 

A background of working as part of a design team and interfacing with non-creatives

The ability to see projects through from inception to production 

Consistency regardless of project size 

Ability to create a print media plan will be a plus

 

Qualifications:

It is essential that you are not only creative and have a passion for education, but also have demonstrable mastery working in the following tools: 

InDesign

Illustrator

Photoshop

Premier Pro (video editing)

HTML5 - for designing emails and email templates

MS Office Suite (PPT, Word)

Creative Cloud applications as needed is a plus

Physical requirements:

Position supports hybrid work with a combination of standard office environment work at our Campbell, California Home Office and remote work, as well as periodic site visits to our school campuses in the Bay Area and in Southern California.  Position frequently involves long hours and widely diverse duties.  Must be able to bend, stoop, perform extensive walking, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a diverse array of contacts.  Extensive computer time and extended periods of sitting.  Travel by car and air when necessary.
