Overview:
The mission of Helio Health is to promote recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other behavioral health issues. The Cook will work Full-Time providing nutritious meals to residents in our Residential Programs throughout the Syracuse area. The schedule will be Mon-Fri., 7:30am - 4pm.

Pay Rate:  $16.50 - $19.00 per hour. 

Responsibilities:
Prepares and serves planned meals for clients living in the Community Residence.

Takes direction from Team Leader/Residence Manager and keeps him/her informed regarding content of workload.

Communicates with kitchen staff regarding Quality Assurance.

Performs general kitchen and stock work as well as monitors equipment and supplies.

Maintains a sanitary & safe workstation and participating in Quality Assurance activities such as:Provide services according to agency policies and procedures and governmental regulations.

Identify strengths and/or problems regarding Quality Assurance.

Assist with problem resolution and implementing modifications.

Maintains an inventory of food and kitchen equipment.

Ensures inventory is adequate to meet the menu plan.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate/Equivalency.

Valid Driver's License to commute between programs.

Food service experience and techniques.

Knowledge of infection control procedures.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
