Entry-Level Network Administrator, New York

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Network Administrator with experience in writing reports using Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Spreadsheet Server. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of networking principles and be skilled in generating insightful reports to support business decisions. This role will be responsible for maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and creating detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Support users by resolving network-related technical issues and providing necessary guidance.

Maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.

Generate and manage reports using Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Spreadsheet Server to support business decisions.

Analyze network performance data and provide insights to optimize network efficiency.

Ensure network security by following best practices and company policies.

Collaborate with IT teams to implement new technologies and improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or 2+ years working experience

Great understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN TUNNELS & and Firewall Configuration

Hands-on experience with reporting tools like Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Spreadsheet Server.

Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud networking, VM Ware / Hyper-V

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are advantageous.

Experience with database queries using SQL.

Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
