Position Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Tallahassee, FL (75% office and 25% travel)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Compensation: Annual salary (commensurate with experience) plus benefits package. This is not a commission-based role.

Summary of Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR 4+ years of business development, marketing, account management, or sales experience

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Zoom

Proficiency with social media platforms and online engagement

About this Position: We are seeking a motivated, creative, and digitally fluent Business Development Executive to maintain relationships and develop new prospects, targeting over 350 independent insurance agencies across Florida. This role will focus on growing new business, strengthening agency relationships, and promoting Workers’ Comp insurance through both traditional and digital channels.

Essential Tasks

Agency Relationship Management

Maintain and grow relationships with existing agencies to drive new business

Identify key agency personnel and develop tailored growth strategies

Communicate regularly with agents on quote opportunities and dividend products, promotional contests, and our agency portal and online quoting system

Monitor agency performance  

New Business Development

Meet or exceed new business acquisition targets by actively identifying and onboarding insurance agencies

Develop and execute clear, customized growth strategies to support agency performance 

Marketing Content and Social Media Assistance

Collaborate with third party marketing firm to brainstorm marketing strategy

Maintain an active LinkedIn profile to positively representing FUBA and maintain client relationships

Additional Responsibilities

Collaborate with management to develop new marketing ideas and incentives that drive business  

Submit weekly reports to management detailing marketing initiatives, sales activities and agency feedback

Record agency visits and communication in company database 

Communicate with other departments to ensure the company database has current and accurate agency information

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing (or similar field) OR has 4+ years of business development, marketing, or sales experience

Has experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Zoom

Is computer savvy and capable of picking up new programs quickly

Is comfortable navigating social media platforms and conducting online engagement
