Graphic Designer, Arizona

Responsibilities:
Meritage Homes is seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a strong eye for aesthetics and a passion for bringing ideas to life across various visual mediums. This role requires a blend of traditional graphic design expertise, digital media proficiency, and a forward-thinking approach to visual communication, including comfort with emerging AI technologies.

 

What You’ll Do:

Design standout visuals for web, print, social media, and internal communications that elevate the Meritage brand.

Maintain brand consistency across campaigns and platforms by creating and refining templates for collateral, presentations, and more.

Bring stories to life through simple motion graphics and video editing tailored for digital and social channels.

Organize and manage our asset library — keeping everything current, accessible, and version-controlled.

Collaborate with the marketing team to turn strategies into scroll-stopping designs.

Stay ahead of trends in design, tech, and AI to keep our visual content fresh and effective.

Confidently present design concepts, take feedback in stride, and iterate with purpose. 

Qualifications:
What You'll Bring:

High School Diploma required

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts preferred, will consider 3+ years experience in place of degree.

A portfolio that proves your ability to create compelling designs across a range of mediums.

Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).

Strong grasp of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.

Experience developing marketing materials, branded templates, and collateral.

A working knowledge of motion graphics/video editing.

Familiarity with asset management tools and file organization best practices.

A good sense of what works on social media, from static images to short videos.

Curiosity and comfort with AI-powered creative tools for design and ideation.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-first environment.

Strong multitasking skills and grace under pressure in a deadline-driven setting.
