Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers.
Perform inspection and tests on parts and assemblies per written specifications.
Use electrical and/or mechanical equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, current meters, voltage meters, dial calipers and indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes.
Complete and maintain accurate test data and records.
Interface with production and engineering teams.
Creation and maintenance of work instructions, visual aids, and standard work documents.
Use Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma.
Ability to clearly read, write.
Working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical measuring equipment and quality control terminology (preferred).
Related manufacturing work experience (including soldering and high-volume production) Soldering certification preferred.
Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Must be able to work alone and with others.
Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job.
Must be able to multi-task.
Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5Sm, and Lean methodologies.
Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job.
Must Have:
Good hand/eye coordination manual dexterity is required as will be working with glass products.
Close attention to detail and quality.
Work a microscope while completing clearing.
Ability to perform basic functions on a PC.
Able to work in a dark room.
Good communication skills.
Teamwork oriented.
Ability to work with little or no supervision if required.
Ability to make quality decisions quickly.
Patience.
Nice to Have:
Experience handling small products/microchips.
A combination of sitting/standing for extended periods of time.
Have to be Ok with working in a Dark Room environment.
Certification Requirements:
HS Diploma/GED and 4 years experience.
2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related experience.
