Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking a reliable **** contractor for emergency coverage as part of our courier team in Phoenix, Arizona.
This role is essential for ensuring the timely and secure transport of medical-related materials to and from internal and external customers.
Contracted, **** position based in Phoenix, AZ.
Shifts are typically between 4:00 p.m. 12:00 a.m.
Hours are not guaranteed and coverage is as needed.
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to emergency coverage needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions
Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries
Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork
Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues or challenges encountered during daily operations
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license
Personal auto insurance (no additional coverage needed for company vehicle use during shift)
Clean driving record
Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with adequate data plan
Flexibility to work on short notice for emergency coverage
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in previous roles
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Comfortable operating a vehicle for long periods
Comfortable navigating routing software and GPS
Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous medical courier experience
