POSITION SUMMARY McCarthy Building Companies is looking for a skilled Crane Operator for an exciting Water/Wastewater project in Aubrey, TX. In this role, you will operate a variety of cranes (RTs, crawlers, friction, hydraulics, etc.) in commercial, water, civil, or marine projects. The ideal applicant has extensive years of experience as a crane operator and maneuvers equipment in a safe manner.

Together, we can build great thingsRESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate and maintain various construction machinery including cranes, fiction cranes, hydraulic cranes, etc. Always follow McCarthy’s safety policies and under no circumstances by-pass or deactivate any safety features Identify and communicate hazards, and danger zonesPerform daily inspections and Monthly Boom Down inspections, bringing all safety issues up to site management Assist with the creation of critical lift plans Safely lift and carry loads by using proper equipment Perform or ensure the 8 hour/shift greasing requirements are completed Always maintain crane cab and job site cleanCompletes Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily
QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience operating cranes in commercial, civil, or marine construction projects Must have all the required certifications and trainings to operate the equipment Must know and understand crane functions, limits, safety features, and how they will affect the cranes operationKnow and understand all hand signals as per ASME 830.5 Read and understand load charts Identify and use common construction materials, hand tools, and power/electrical tools Understand construction terminology Proven commitment to Safety Work in an organized manner Able to work night shifts when neededMust have reliable transportation to/from the job site Ability to work independently and follow instructions Must be self-motivated and can work well with others Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Ability to perform heavy
lifting/pushing/pulling
of material weighing 50 pounds Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces Minimum age 18+ Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
