The mission of the salesperson is to maximize and support 100% of all inbound and outbound customer traffic, while maintaining the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. By his/her impression, the image of the dealership is portrayed. This position requires an individual with excellent people skills. This position will include daily interaction with the dealership's Management Staff and select Sales Managers/Floor Managers. This list is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.Duties and responsibilities include working a daily business plan and communicating with incoming traffic/calls, phone-up follow-up, sold follow-up, orphan follow-up, service follow-up, letters, updating business plans and client cards, using eLead CRM to manage and measure lead activity, leveraging auto responders, personalized e-mail templates and phone guides to drive appointments and sales, managing and measuring all lead activity and results, greeting incoming sales opportunities, doing a comprehensive needs assessment, initiating the EMI, selecting the right vehicle with the help of the Floor Manager, presenting the vehicle, demonstrating vehicles at dealership, presenting arithmetic to customers and facilitating paperwork, delivering vehicle, signing customer up for first service appointment at delivery, unsold follow up of prospects who do not buy, follow up for people who did not show for appointment, sold follow up for customers who buy, referrals and household prospecting, ongoing customer contact to promote loyalty and retention, facilitating automated follow up including sold follow up, service reminders, vehicle anniversary, contacts, recalls, referrals&prospecting, renewal contacts to re-sell your customer base, adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards, and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications include no experience needed, high school diploma or the equivalent, ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, a professional appearance and customer oriented attitude, excellent interpersonal and telephone skills; well organized and self-motivated, knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local laws which govern retail, positive, self-motivated attitude with a customer first mindset, strong communication and relationship building skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, handling, reaching, crouching, far vision, depth perception, and talking. Environmental conditions include working outside in weather and inside a climate-controlled environment. Demonstration drives require salespersons to accompany customers on demonstration drives, and a positive mental attitude is encouraged.
