Job: Data Scientist
Location: 100% remote from the US
Duration: 1 year contract, open to extensions
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a data scientist, preferably with science or engineering background and programming skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will:
Collaborate with different stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and translate them into code.
Develop and maintain applications and data pipelines using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
Design and deploy database for valuable data assets
Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development.
Apply data engineering principles to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
Engage in information modeling and semantic modeling.
Apply AI tools to enhance scientific workflows and digital capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors's degree and 2 years of data science experience
Proficiency in Python programming.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and React and prior experience in frontend development.
Experience with Git for version control.
Advanced SQL skills.
Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as S3, RDS, and EC2.
Familiarity with data engineering principles and ETL tools.
Experience or familiarity with information modeling and semantic modeling, especially in a biopharma setting.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Agile or Scrum methodology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a biopharma environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex digital challenges.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Experience with data science tools such as Databricks, Spotfire, tableau, or Power BI.
Experience with Docker for containerizing applications and managing development environments
Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, or AI-driven applications.
Prior experience developing web applications with Plotly Dash.
Exposure to generative AI tools and techniques.
