Police Officer Position
The City of Beaverton is seeking entry-level and lateral Police Officers to join our team, working hand in hand with our community to ensure a safe environment for all. Beaverton Police Department serves community members with compassion and respect, through proactive crime prevention, law enforcement, and community engagement.As a Police Officer, you will patrol assigned areas to deter crime, enforce laws, and respond to emergencies. Your duties will include conducting investigations, gathering evidence, issuing citations, and making arrests when appropriate. Officers also take command at crime or accident scenes, administer first aid, write reports, and provide credible testimony in court. This work requires sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively.What we're looking for: Applicants who embody integrity, courage, and a strong sense of public service. Excellent communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, and a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
