Production Technician II-III Precision Cable&Harness Assembly
Location: Sherwood, OR Schedule: MondayFriday | 6:00 am-2:30 pm Pay Range: $22$37/hr DOE About Us:
We are looking for a fast-growing automation company delivering high-quality electromechanical systems. We pride ourselves on precision, innovation, and teamwork. Our Sherwood facility is seeking detail-oriented Production Technicians (Levels IIII) to join our team and contribute to building premium cable and wire-harness assemblies.Position Summary:
This role is ideal for technicians with exceptional manual dexterity who enjoy working with precision wiring and electromechanical assemblies. Soldering, cable building, and crimping experience are requiredcandidates without hands-on expertise in these areas will not be considered. You will assemble, test, and document cable harnesses and mechanical subassemblies while ensuring the highest standards of quality and repeatability.Key Responsibilities:
Electromechanical&Cable Assembly Assemble electromechanical systems per drawings, BOMs, and instructions. Solder, crimp, and terminate small-gauge wire (2430 AWG) with precision. Perform micro-crimping consistently according to IPC-620 standards. Build cable harness assemblies and route wiring accurately. Apply labels and nameplates to assemblies per specifications.Mechanical Assembly&Tooling Build mechanical subassemblies using various fastening methods. Torque fasteners to specification and proper sequence. Utilize hand and power tools safely (wire strippers, torque tools, CableEye, etc.). Support precision assembly with fixtures, jigs, and tooling. Inspection, Testing&Documentation Inspect assemblies for defects, damage, or workmanship issues. Perform electrical continuity testing using schematics and voltmeters. Document redlines, as-built changes, and material tracking accurately. Escalate discrepancies as needed. Additional Responsibilities Assist with packaging, kitting, material handling, and organization.Maintain clean, safe workspaces and participate in 5S activities. Mentor and train less-experienced technicians. Collaborate with engineering and operations on first-article builds. Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting of assemblies, cables, and panels. Required Skills&Abilities:
Hands-on soldering, cable building, and crimping experience required . Exceptional manual dexterity and steady hands for fine-detail assembly. Strong eyesight for inspecting small wire terminations. Ability to sit/stand for long periods performing repetitive tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong communication skills and professional demeanor. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 26 years of hands-on electromechanical assembly experience. Proven experience crimping and terminating small-gauge wire (2430 AWG). IPC-620 proficiency (certification or training required). UL 508A panel wiring experience (preferred). Proficient with basic computer skills
