Shift Manager, Security Control Room (Open)
The Shift Manager, Security Control Room is responsible for directly managing the efficient operation of the Control Room to maximize the protection of the property and ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment is maintained. The Shift Manager, Security Control Room works inside the Security Control room, providing leadership, motivation, and direction to employees, ensuring an immediate response to resolve incidents and providing a function that ensures all operational activities are conducted with the highest levels of quality and integrity.Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor key performance objectives and perform performance appraisals on direct reports. Complete and implement conduct and counseling, feedback, and reward and recognition processes. Provide operations and colleague performance reports to superiors as required. Ensure property and Security Control Room operations and procedures are adhered to.Provide accurate monthly reports to superiors. Understand and be able to perform all the functions of the Supervisor, Security Control Room and Senior Officer, Security Control Room roles. Maintain direction, integrity, and control over the site Security Access Control system. Implement processes towards continual improvement of product delivery.Ensure direct reports are fully conversant with all responsibilities and have a solid knowledge base. Ensure the Control Room is fully conversant with Emergency Management procedures. Oversee the management of and support direct reports to ensure all systems and equipment is effective and operational.Provide assistance, support, and information to security operations. Oversee quality and delivery of training of new Control Room Employees. Perform additional special projects as required by superiors. Manage performance of administrative tasks including reports and compilation of statistics. Adhere to and exhibit pro-active leadership in; as well as monitor staff integrity in accordance with all established policies and procedures within the department and property.Actively participate in health and safety activities to ensure that workplace hazards are minimized and the health and safety of all employees is valued. Implement and monitor the delivery of CCTV monitoring services to Retailers and Hotel environs as contracted. Adhere to all company policies and proceduresReport accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time Key Performance Indicators:
Achievement of KPO's and implementation of strategies as identified in the Business Plan Department and company policies and procedures are adhered to Performance and succession criteria are met Collection, recording, analyzing, and reporting information Communicating ideas and information Planning and organizing activitiesManaging others effectively Solving problems Making decisions Delegating tasks Effective relationship and appropriate delivery of CCTV monitoring services to Retailers Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of four-year supervisory or management experience within a CCTV environment Highly competent in the use of Microsoft software applications Well-developed knowledge of security access control systems and principles Experience in managing employee databasesExperience with digital media and storage applications Demonstrated management, leadership, and teamwork High level of attention to detail and ability to work with all levels of management Personal Competencies: Displays a high commitment to delivering and improving customer service Is results orientated, demonstrates advanced business acumen and accepts accountability for resultsDemonstrates advanced communication and interpersonal skills Has a strong work ethic Leads others to achieve business objectives Encourages people to work as a team Exhibits advanced people management skills Ability to problem solve and accept responsibility Understands different cultures and diversityHighly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work without supervision Confidential
