The Hermosa Beach City School District is nestled in a beautiful beach city just 7 miles south of the LAX airport. HBCSD is currently comprised of three school sites, Hermosa View, Hermosa Vista, and Hermosa Valley School. We are a TK through 8th grade school district with a friendly staff, an involved parent community, and high expectations.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Administrative Services, facilitate and provide teacher leadership for professional learning and instructional practices related to the innovation and integration of technology in curriculum and learning, facilitating and creating resources, coaching, and supporting school sites toenhance student achievement.

Hermosa Beach City School District is located in a beautiful beach town with a very modern yet relaxed atmosphere. The Hermosa schools' student body is small and high achieving. We have a friendly, collaborative staff. Professional development is an important part of our certificated staff culture. Our parents are very active and supportive of their students and the schools.

HBCSD has a robust certificated salary schedule with placement based upon your education and experience teaching in a public school. All regular teaching positions participate in the CalSTRS retirement system. The certificated teacher work year is 182 days. Each regular certificated teacher is eligible to choose health benefits with a district contribution of $9,550 annually, may join the CTA union, and receives 10 sick days.
