Requirements

California RN Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

Special Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level 2 facility

At least 2 years of circulating experience in a community hospital setting, with expertise in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), Plastic Surgery, and Robotics

Experience with conscious sedation

On-Call Requirements

The position requires on-call availability for overnight shifts on weekdays, 24-hour shifts on weekends, and 24-hour shifts on holidays.

Shift Requirements

Start times for shifts range between 6:45 AM and 8:30 AM.

Unit Information

The role involves providing individualized nursing care based on fundamental nursing competencies and pharmacology. You will apply the nursing process to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. A comprehensive understanding of standards of care, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including medication doses, purposes, interactions, side effects, and reactions, is essential.
