Instrument Service Engineer | EAG Laboratories, Hamilton Township

Job Description

EAG Laboratories has an opportunity for a Service Engineer to provide Engineering service and support to our fleet of analytical instruments and ancillary equipment. 

This role may require periodic travel to other EAG laboratories to include Sunnyvale - CA, Phoenix - AZ and occasional travel to other sites. 

Responsibilities:

Perform and log routine/preventive and emergency service on instruments and peripherals according to maintenance plan/schedule, including: vacuum pumps, ovens, sputter coaters, purge boxes, secondary ion mass spectrometers (SIMS), auger electron spectrometers (AES), X-ray photoelectron spectrometers (XPS), stylus profilers.

Install utility connections for equipment; including: electrical, deionized water, compressed air, pressurized gasses, vacuum lines, communication links, and customized needs as required.

Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuitry (analog/digital).

Maintain (including purchasing) and organize adequate stock levels of spare parts and peripherals.

Maintain and create technical documentation, procedures, schematics, work instructions, and parts lists.

Provide timely updates to management in the form of status reports and service reports.

Assist and support facility/infrastructure when needed to maintain suitable working environment for instruments.

Assist with the development and implementation of computer-based service management system.

Provide collaboration on day to day building function, operations including areas in safety, maintenance, and facilities.
