Senior Accountant - Project, New Jersey

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate the month-end closing procedure and maintain the general ledger in a manufacturing and departmental environment.

Prepare consolidated financial statements for the company and two affiliated entities, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Prepare monthly sales tax returns for these entities.

Manage and oversee the Accounts Receivable and Credit Departments.

Help to implement new accounting software.

Reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries and any related analysis.

Manage and support the accounting staff and provide them with accounting advice.

Other duties may be assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting along with 5+ years' experience in senior level accounting. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge of corporate taxes a plus. Experience with Infor XA or similar ERP system is required.
