DESCRIPTION: Multi-Media Computer Literacy Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum. Key instructional responsibilities include but are not limited to: To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop proficiency and fulfill their academic potential.To integrate technology to develop students' media and digital literacies. To differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learner styles and abilities. To collaborate meaningfully with colleagues for the continuous improvement of teaching and learning. Qualifications

Strong Computer Skills/Computer Literacy Proficiency Appropriate NJ Certification for Middle School Required Experience with Applications Such as, GAFE, Garage Band&iMovie Preferred Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act Successful Criminal History Clearance Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization Certifications that Qualify include:

Teacher of Mathematics - Middle School or K-12

Teacher of Science -Middle School or K-12

Teacher of Social Studies -Middle School or K-12

Teacher of Business

Teacher of Technology

Elementary Teacher K-8

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

10 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 School Year is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

ANNUAL EVALUATION:

Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law

and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:

Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited Google Suite, IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
