Estimator, Bensalem, PA

My client is a well known Union Contractor who is actively looking for an Estimator with large project type experience in MEP.    Knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing in commercial and institutional large project type work. 

Will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC mechanical systems in construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical trades and construction processes, as well as excellent analytical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

• Review and evaluate requests for estimates and project quotes, as needed
• Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensure timely completion of estimates
• Prepare and review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Create job folders
• Input take-offs of construction documents
• Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid
• Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors
• Make an estimate where predetermined standards are not available
• Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database
• Maintain estimating procedures and guidelines
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors
