Cost Accounting Supervisor, Troy

A great UHY client is seeking a
Cost Accounting Supervisor
to support global cost accounting and inventory operations within a large, international manufacturing organization.
This role will play a key part in maintaining and improving cost accounting processes, supporting global inventory analysis, and partnering cross-functionally with finance and operations teams across the organization.
The
Cost Accounting Supervisor
role is a hybrid position based in Troy, MI, requiring approximately three days per week onsite, with additional onsite presence potentially required during onboarding and training.
This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity offering strong visibility and leadership exposure within a global finance organization.
Cost Accounting Supervisor Responsibilities
Support and maintain global standard costing processes within the ERP environment
Perform inventory, COGS, and variance analysis across multiple entities
Lead annual standard cost updates and assist with budgeting activities
Support inventory reporting, reconciliations, and cost accounting functions
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls related to costing and inventory
Partner cross-functionally with operations and finance teams globally
Support internal and external audit activities
Supervise and mentor a Cost Accounting Analyst
Cost Accounting Supervisor Requirements
7+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
Strong inventory and cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong Excel and systems skills
ERP experience required; Plex experience is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
