As a Legal Assistant (Hearing Case Manager) , you will play a key role in supporting attorneys and clients throughout the Social Security Disability process, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for clients via phone and email Review medical records Work 1:1 with an attorney to prepare case files for hearings Process and file documents with Social Security Administration Guide clients through paperwork and documentation requirements Maintain accuracy and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Develop a strong understanding of Social Security Disability procedures and related medical issues Utilize legal management software effectively Perform administrative tasks as needed Uphold the highest level of professionalism in all interactions Required Skills&Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Professional demeanor and reliability High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred Comfortable with prolonged desk work and computer use Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally Prior administrative or customer service experience preferred but not required Compensation Starting pay: Michigan $23.00 per hour Annual increases of $3.00 per hour through your third work anniversary Benefits Excellent work environment with upward mobility to promote within the firm Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, life, disability. 401(k) with 6% employer match.
