Security Instrumentation Technician

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Security Instrumentation Technician with our Nevada Gold Mines Security department. The successful candidate is responsible for supporting Operations production goals by installing, supporting, and maintaining security electronic equipment to include, but not limited to access control, closed circuit TV, and alarm systems.At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world's most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. Installation: Bend tubing and conduit. Pull and terminate wire. Understand basic layout of panels and cabinets. Know and use proper job specific tools and equipment, electronic equipment wiring, diagrams, and schematics. Calibration: Understand basic equipment programming, and basic computer operation. Understand common analyzers. Write PM procedures. Demonstrate effective programming skills on "stand alone" equipment. Understand of test equipment, electronic/electrical theory, and mechanical theory (as it applies to security).Maintenance: Understand preventative maintenance. Have a basic understanding of electronic security, and electronic control theory. Effectively utilize electronic security technology. Demonstrate effective equipment troubleshooting skills. Equipment: Demonstrate knowledge of access controllers and readers, closed circuit TV wiring, and alarm system wiring. Demonstrate knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements and practice installation techniques using its guidelines.Assist Operations, Maintenance, and Metallurgical, groups by understanding, troubleshooting, problem solving, and optimizing Equipment, and Systems. Understand and adhere to Nevada Gold Mines policies regarding Safety and the Environment. Attach lockout devices correctly to electrical equipment during maintenance for the purpose of de-energizing equipment and ensuring employee safety as outlined in the company's procedures.The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive. Qualifications
Minimum of 1 to 2 years electronic and electrical experience in a mining environment, or comparable industrial or military occupation required. Electronic and Instrumentation program completion preferred. Security Technician experience preferred. Must pass a security background check required.
