Lead Maintenance Technician

to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure our community remains safe, functional, and well maintained. This role is responsible for performing hands-on maintenance while also helping coordinate preventative maintenance efforts, responding to resident service requests, and ensuring apartments are move-in ready.The ideal candidate for the Lead Maintenance Technician

role brings strong technical knowledge across building systems, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and the leadership skills needed to help keep operations running smoothly. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Oversee daily maintenance operations and support the overall upkeep of the property. Perform preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and building structures.Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently to minimize downtime and disruption. Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution. Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to reduce future repairs and extend equipment life.Assist with unit turns, ensuring apartments are cleaned, repaired, and move-in ready on schedule. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation using maintenance management systems when applicable. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.HVAC certification required. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience using maintenance management software is a plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and move throughout the property for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally more with assistance. Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights. Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment WORK HOURS&LOCATION REQUIREMENTS This position requires full-time, on-site presence at the 'Cypress Flats' of Tyler property. This is a full-time position, 40+ hours per week. Schedule may vary based on operational needs and maintenance emergencies. Participation in an on-call rotation may be required. Occasional travel to surrounding communities and local stores, as needed.WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
