Metal Building Detailer Designer

A growing metal building supplier based in Tyler, Texas, serving East Texas and surrounding southern states. Temp-to-Hire position $ 17.00 to $ 18.00 / hour Full Time work available First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm) Design and detail metal building structures using company software and AutoCADWork within MBS (metal building software) to configure project details Interpret and apply basic geometry and math concepts to designs Create accurate layouts and visual representations of building systems Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project accuracy Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or drafting softwareStrong math and geometry skills (pre-employment math test required) Comfortable working on a computer for extended periods Ability to visualize designs and final structures Detail-oriented with a strong willingness to learn Self-motivated and able to work independently Preferred (But Not Required)Background in construction, mechanical work, or use of tools Experience in drafting, design, or related fields Handyman or building-related experience Applicant may be subject to a background check Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment *A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
