Production Manager, New York

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and organizing production schedules in coordination with the VP of Ops and CEO

Organizing and directing the flow of materials into the production floor to keep on schedule

Overseeing production processes to ensure we are running efficiently and meeting production goals

Coordinating and communicating with the maintenance mechanics and maintenance team for the appropriate Preventative Maintenance schedules and repair of machinery to reduce downtime and increase efficiency

Organizing relevant training sessions for all team members to keep everyone up to date on best practices

Evaluate production efficiency; write, get approval for, and implement SOP's to create best practices for efficiency

Work in coordination with the FSQA team on maintaining product quality, and reporting quality issues

Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems

Determine and implement improvements to the production process

Prepare and maintain production reports

Ensure that health and safety regulations are met

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -

o OSHA Training and Experience

o Personnel Management Skills

o HACCP or SQF, GMP's experience is strongly preferred.

Experience, Education, and Training -

o An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is desired, and a High School Diploma is required

o Experience Requirements: 3-5 years experience in an industry-like position that includes supervision

o License and/or Certification Requirements: OSHA Safety Training, MSDS Training

o Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered
