Job Description:

SUNY Delhi is seeking to fill a full-time Athletic Trainer (ATC). SUNY Delhi sponsors 18 sports at the NCAA Division III level. This is a 10-month period of obligation, annually renewable position. Anticipated start date: August 1, 2026

Responsibilities: SUNY Delhi's two athletic trainers work in conjunction to provide management of a comprehensive Sports Medicine program. The selected candidate will work together with the other AT and the Head AT to provide athletic training services including prevention, care, and rehabilitation; provide medical care during practices, home contests, and selected away competitions; provide supervision of student assistants; and work collaboratively with SUNY Delhi Health Services Practitioners, Director of Health and Counseling Services, and coaches for the health and welfare of all student-athletes participating on the College's sanctioned athletic teams.

This position will also include additional athletics related responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training required National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) NYS Athletic Trainer licensure or eligible. First-Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR/AED certified Effective written and verbal communication, computer, and web related skills.Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the College. Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree - in Athletic training or related field 1-3 years college level athletic training experience. First-Aid/CPR - instructor certification preferred. (American Red Cross preferred) Professional Strength and Conditioning certification. Candidates should possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and both written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be a role model and leader while in the Athletic Training areas. The ability to multitask and handle a job with ongoing daily changes and basic supervisory skills a plus. General computer skills required including Microsoft software (Word, Office, Excel, etc.). Must have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of NCAA regulations as they relate to sports medicine.

Additional Information:

Salary: 53,960 SL-4, 10-month period of obligation (8/1/26 - 5/31/27) Work Schedule: Must be available during normal working hours for the college. Position requires working various nights, and weekends with scheduled athletic competitions. Periodic travel to away athletic events as needed.
