Job Title

Essential Functions: Responsible for processing shipments in Sturges ERP System according to customer specifications and company requirements. Prepares customer specific labels in barcode software Prepares product Certificates of Conformance in computer Processes shipments in UPS, FedEx computer systems and other customer specific online portalsIdentify and resolve discrepancies with customer shipments to prevent potential customer complaints. Coordinates scheduled pick-ups with freight companies. Requests required shipment details with customers and/or logistic companies for export orders. Coordinates daily shipments with Production Supervisors and requests additional resources when neededVerifies accuracy of item count/weights and order details. Assists with boxing and palletizing customer orders for shipments. Maintains documentation of orders shipped. Manages shipping material inventory levels. Assist with cycle counts. Maintain a neat and clean work area. Education&Qualifications: Must have strong computer skills Shipping and/or order processing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Must be able to perform math calculations. Must be detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on following documented shipping instructions.High School Diploma/GED required. Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well with a team. Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English. This position is deemed a safety sensitive position always requiring alertness.
