Accounting Manager - Remote In Pacific Or Mountain Time, Clatskanie

Your JobGeorgia-Pacific LLC is currently seeking an experienced leader and Manager of Accounting to join our team!
This role creates value for the organization by providing remote accounting ownership for our Wauna manufacturing facility located in Clatskanie, OR.
We are seeking candidates with leadership skills and experience being a change agent who will thrive in our fast-paced environment, with a focus on innovation and transformation.
You will also leverage your advanced accounting and finance knowledge and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, by identifying and capturing value across the larger mill systems.
As the Manager of Accounting, you are a valued member of the facility leadership team and will partner closely with the facility finance leader and operations leadership.

LocationThis is a remote role.
We are seeking candidates in the PST or MST time zones who can support the Clatskanie, OR facility during business hours and travel on-site monthly for month-end close.What You Will DoOwnership of the financial statements, month-end close process, and control environmentCollaborate with mill and business teams to drive process adherence through disciplined operations and hold facility teams accountable to the activities that drive accurate financial resultsApply a risk-based approach to the application of accounting policies and financial controlsImplement transformative processes and eliminate processes not creating valueOn-site partner with the Accounting Centers of Excellence (Internal Financial Controls, Capital, Inventory) as well as the offshore accounting team and external auditorsBe a decision maker, seek and share knowledge, and respectfully challenge the status quoDrive change, with a focus on innovation, process improvement and solving problemsAdvance the Principled Based Management (PBM) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding PrinciplesBasic QualificationsCareer experience in an accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, operations finance, or related role that demonstrates a professional understanding of accounting and financial concepts and cost accounting principlesCollaboration/Contribution mindset: build effective working relationships and partner with others to close gaps and solve problemsProcess and Transformation focused: embrace and lead change and have experience standardizing and optimizing processes and work productsConfident Communicator: comfortable being seen and heard; translate complex financial concepts to various audiences, including non-financial individualsLeadership experience: developing the capabilities of others, leading transformation, driving company initiatives, project leadership, or similarWillingness to travel on-site as required at the Clatskanie, OR location monthlyWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business field of studyFinance/Accounting experience in a manufacturing facilitySAP or other large ERP and integrated accounting system experienceAdvanced MS Excel capability (pivot tables, reporting, macros, modeling, data manipulation, and formula creation)SalaryFor this role, we anticipate paying $110,000 – $140,000 per year.
