Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage gas plans and construction procedures for utility projects
- Create detailed step-by-step construction and operational procedures
- Develop project-specific schematics and AutoCAD line diagrams
- Support valve operations, sequencing, pressure monitoring, and control point identification
- Evaluate mechanical systems, reliability, and operational effectiveness
- Support pipeline and utility infrastructure engineering activities
- Coordinate with construction crews, engineers, supervisors, and technical teams
- Review and improve procedures based on field feedback and operational requirements
- Support quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
- Work with proprietary software and engineering documentation tools
- Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals
- Pipeline and Utility Infrastructure Exposure
- Construction Procedure Development
- AutoCAD and Line Diagram Development
- Piping and Fluid Dynamics Knowledge
- Gas Plan Development
- Pressure Regulation and Monitoring
- Utility Operations Support
- Technical Documentation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- EI/EIT certification preferred
- Experience with gas and water meter equipment
- Background in piping or fluid dynamics
- Experience supporting utility infrastructure projects
- Ability to learn proprietary engineering software
- Experience working with field construction teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- 2–5 years of engineering experience
