IP Litigation Associate Attorney Location:

Del Mar, CA or Dallas, TX Direct Counsel represents an Am Law 50 firm

Direct Counsel is seeking an

IP Litigation Associate (2–6 years of experience)

to join a nationally recognized Intellectual Property Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on

high-profile patent litigation matters

for leading technology companies, semiconductor manufacturers, and innovative startups. Key Responsibilities: Handle complex patent litigation matters, including district court cases, ITC proceedings, and PTAB/IPR matters

Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs; support case strategy and litigation execution

Participate in discovery, depositions, and licensing-related disputes

Collaborate with partners and clients on sophisticated intellectual property disputes

Work with cutting-edge technologies, including software, semiconductors, and wireless systems

Qualifications: 2–6 years of IP litigation experience, including patent litigation and/or PTAB proceedings

Technical background preferred (electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or related field)

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Ability to manage complex matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction

Compensation&Benefits: Salary range:

$235,000– $390,000 , depending on experience
