Location: Washington DCJob Type: Full-time/Contract Hourly Rate: $50 - $75 per hour Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement software solutions. Write high-quality code in Java, Python, or C++. Ensure software meets compliance standards for federal projects. Perform troubleshooting, bug fixes, and optimize software performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps andQA, to streamline the development process. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in software development. Expertise in one or more programming languages: Java,Python, or C++. Familiarity with Agile methodology for project management (optional). Experience using Git for version control and code management. Knowledge of CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI). Proficiency in deployment packaging tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Remedy or other incident management systems to track and resolve issues. Understanding of incident monitoring and handling troubleshooting of complex systems. Experience with automated testing frameworks likeJUnit, Selenium, or TestNG. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (for cloud infrastructure and services). Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (for security-focused development). Oracle Certified Java Developer (for Java-focused software engineering).
