Senior-Level Java Developer, Wisconsin

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior-Level Java Developer on-site in Waukesha, WI.

Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end development and enhancement of complex Java-based web applications and microservices

Guide and mentor a team of developers, conduct code reviews, and provide performance feedback

Champion Agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and story pointing

Refactor and modernize legacy systems to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product teams

Design and implement cloud-native services using AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools

Develop and maintain secure, high-performing applications in Java, JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js environments

Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the engineering team

Requirements:

10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, primarily in Java and web technologies

Strong front-end experience with JavaScript, Angular, React, and Node.js

Deep expertise in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)

Proficiency with Spring, Hibernate, JSP/Servlets, and RESTful services

Experience leading teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers

Solid understanding and application of SOLID principles and object-oriented design

Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA) and AWS Cloud services

Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in or supporting healthcare technologies, especially imaging systems like MR, CT, or PET

Background in .NET Core, GraphQL, or microservice architecture

Familiarity with TDD, SOAP services, and performance testing tools such as LoadRunner

Exposure to container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
