Aquatics Facility Administrative Support
Under general supervision of the Aquatics Manager, performs responsible administrative and customer service support work for City aquatic facilities.
Provides assistance with front desk operations, facility rental coordination, registration support, and recordkeeping functions.
This classification provides operational support and does not exercise supervisory authority or independent financial control.
The duties listed below are representative of the position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Assists with daily front desk and customer service operations.
Provides information regarding aquatic programs, schedules, facility policies, and rental procedures.
Supports facility rental processes by preparing documentation, confirming logistics, and assisting with setup and supply coordination.
Assists with program registrations, roster maintenance, and participant record updates.
Operates point-of-sale systems and performs cash handling tasks as assigned; assists with reconciliation under direction of lead staff.
Maintains accurate administrative records including rentals, registrations, participation data, and operational documentation.
Performs data entry, filing, document preparation, and general clerical support.
Assists with preparation and distribution of promotional materials and program communications.
Supports special events, swim meets, and program activities as assigned.
Identifies and escalates customer concerns, discrepancies, or operational issues to supervisory or lead staff.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.
High school diploma or GED required.
One (1) year of experience in customer service, office support, recreation services, or related field preferred.
Experience with cash handling or point-of-sale systems preferred.
Experience in a recreation or aquatic facility environment preferred.
Valid Washington State driver license preferred.
First Aid and CPR/AED certification preferred.
Additional certifications may be required based on operational needs.
Work is performed primarily in office and front desk areas of aquatic facilities, with regular interaction in pool and program areas.
Exposure to water, pool chemicals, wet surfaces, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions may occur.
Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, and repetitive hand motions for data entry, cashiering, and administrative tasks.
May occasionally lift or move office or program materials up to 25 pounds.
Evening, weekend, holiday, or on-call work may be required to support programs, rentals, or special events.
