Demon Robotics Assistant Advisor, Kennett Square

The Demond Robotics Assistant shares the responsibilities of managing Demon Robotics throughout the year with the Demon Robotics Advisor. He/she may also assume the role of "Co-Lead Mentor" for the team within the FIRST robotics organization. The exact structure of the teams's leadership should be discussed and agreed upon by the established adult mentors of the team.

Regardless of the assistant's leadership role within the team, he or she will be responsible for the following activities:

Coordinating the initial team interest meetings in the fall with the advisor Coordinating kickoff and strategy meetings at the start of the season with the advisor Working with the team leadership to set the work schedule for the season Working with the team leadership to recruit and retain mentorsEnsuring appropriate registration (with FIRST) of the team including payment of fees Coordinating transportation of the robot and related equipment to competitions with the advisor Coordinating the use of school facilities for team-related activities (particularly, the auxiliary gym for robot practice) with the advisorWorking with the team's marketing mentor to coordinate marketing and fundraising activities Communicating effectively with all team stakeholders (e.g., students, parents, benefactors, school administrators) regarding team status Working with (typically) the parents of the team president to organize the year-end team banquetCoordinating the process for awarding the Lawton Family Scholarship at the end of the season, including presenting the award at the KHS awards night with the advisor Must be interested in supporting and working with all students

All employees of Kennett Consolidated School District must have the ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with other employees, faculty, students, and the general public.

Salary Range: In accordance with Teacher's Contract / Stipend 63 Points

Shift Type: Supplemental
