Description:

Certified OR Tech/Surgical Tech (CST) assists in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and passing instruments to surgeons during operations. They ensure a sterile environment and support the surgical team throughout the procedure. CSTs also help with patient positioning and post-operative cleanup. Precision, teamwork, and knowledge of surgical protocols are vital.

3-4 rating in Ophthalmology

Certs: BLS and NBSTA

Preferred skills/certs/exp: Outpatient, Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Transplant, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Ortho/Total Joints, Davinci Robot.

Special procedure/ Unit Details: 

Daily case load 80, 22 rooms. New Hanover Regional Health System provides surgical services that support multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent surgical procedures. Procedures include General, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, and Endoscopy • Organ harvesting .

Scheduling Type: Determined by manager

Unit Orientation:Varies depending on experience.
