Operating Engineer - Clarios, Kernersville

Our client, a leading industrial manufacturing organization specializing in lead-acid battery production, is seeking a dedicated Operating Engineer to join their team.
As an Operating Engineer, you will be an integral part of the maintenance and engineering department supporting plant operations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and operational excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all plant building systems and equipment
Supervise and manage engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and development
Create and update preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance plans
Participate in client-facing and property team communications regularly
Lead, create, and manage the engineering budget and assist in capital improvement planning
What's Needed?
7+ years of related experience, especially in a leadership role such as Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer
Strong background in HVAC, electrical systems, and mechanical systems such as compressors, chillers, and exhaust fans
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably work on ladders up to 30 feet tall
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service
