Position Summary:
Acuren Inspection (Massachusetts Materials Research) is seeking an Engineer with metallurgical, materials and/or mechanical background to join its Failure Analysis and Engineering Consulting Group. The position reports to and works closely with the Technical Director and experienced technicians on a dynamic mix of technical project management, laboratory analysis and customer interaction.

Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimates.
Conduct studies and generate observations and data as required by project plan.
Assist in the coordination and scheduling of project work in the department to meet client needs.
Provide guidance and feedback to metallographic preparation technicians and assist with specimen preparation as required.
Develop draft reports and work with the Technical Director to finalize for client presentation.
Deliver exceptional customer service with various industrial companies, law firms, power plants, municipalities, utilities, etc.
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. in Metallurgy/Materials Science & Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
5 years of relevant experience
Strong technical knowledge in the metallurgy/materials and mechanical engineering fields.
Experience in materials and failure analysis is preferable and considered an asset
Analytical/investigation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high energy, customer-focused and a positive, success-oriented attitude
