We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (SrQE) to play a critical leadership role in strengthening plant-level quality, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met. This role is ideal for a seasoned quality professional who thrives in complex manufacturing environments and enjoys influencing outcomes through collaboration and expertise.Your Role at a Glance As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will serve as a technical and cultural leader within the plant’s Quality organization, aligning internal processes with customer expectations while driving sustainable improvement. Champion safety-first behaviors and embed “fail-safe” thinking into quality routinesTranslate the Voice of the Customer into actionable improvement targets (Claims, NCRs, NQC). Lead and own the 8D problem-solving process, ensuring depth, rigor, and long-term prevention. Analyze quality metrics, trends, and leading indicators to drive strategic improvement roadmaps. Partner with Process Engineering, Production, and OpEx teams on defect-reduction initiatives.Conduct statistical analysis to identify root causes and guide data-driven countermeasures. Serve as a quality systems gatekeeper, ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards. Support and coordinate internal audits and post-corrective-action verification. Lead cross-functional quality projects without direct authority, influencing outcomes through expertise.Coach and mentor others in quality tools, methods, and mindset. Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Manager. Promote deployment and sustainability of the Drive+ Quality Technical System.

What Sets You Apart We’re looking for a confident quality leader with strong technical depth and the ability to influence at all levels: Minimum 10 years of manufacturing quality experience, preferably in heavy industry or steel. Deep working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma).Strong analytical capability, including statistical data analysis. Experience driving quality improvements across cross-functional teams. Hands-on knowledge of quality management systems and compliance standards. Ability to clearly communicate, coach, and motivate others. Proven ability to lead through influence rather than authority.Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Education&Certifications Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or quality-related discipline) Master’s degree preferred CQE or equivalent certification preferred ISO / API Q1 Auditor or Lead Auditor certification preferred Willingness to learn new standards deeply if not already familiar What Powers Your PerformanceSuccess in this role is driven by mindset as much as experience. Work Environment&Travel Primarily sedentary with frequent computer-based analytical work Occasional travel (~10%) for customer engagement, benchmarking, and cross-site collaboration
