Accountant, Richmond

Role: Junior Accountant Location: San Francisco, CA ***** Type: 6 Months Contract to Hire Pay Range: $25-$30/hr.
MISSION This person will support day-to-day accounting and financial operations while helping maintain accurate financial reporting, streamline finance workflows, and contribute to scalable processes across multiple startup clients.
DAY TO DAY Assist with preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and accounting records Support bookkeeping activities, reconciliations, and month-end finance processes Organize and maintain financial data across accounting systems and finance tools Collaborate with team members to improve operational workflows and reporting accuracy Work within modern finance platforms, automation tools, and AI-enabled workflows to support scaling startup operations MUST HAVES Coursework or hands-on experience in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or related financial operations Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy Familiarity with accounting software, bookkeeping platforms, or finance tools Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a modern finance organization The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.
