Are you detail-oriented and looking to jumpstart a career in modern manufacturing? We are seeking Finishing Technicians (Deburr Operators) to join a leading production team. In this role, you will be the final set of eyes on precision-machined parts, ensuring every piece meets high-quality standards before it reaches the customer.Role Summary: The Deburring Technician is responsible for the final finishing of precision-machined parts. You will ensure that all components meet strict quality standards by removing sharp edges (burrs) and smoothing surfaces after the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities● Precision Finishing: Use hand tools and power tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from metal or plastic parts.● Tool Operation: Skilled use of tools such as files, scrapers, countersinks, grinders, and sanders. ● Inspection: Conduct 100% visual inspection of parts, often using a microscope or magnifying glass, to ensure they meet engineering blueprints and customer specs. ● Surface Preparation: Perform polishing, blending, and cleaning (such as ultrasonic cleaning or nitrogen air drying) to prepare parts for the next stage of production.● Quality Compliance: Follow all Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain high quality and safety. Qualifications&Skills● Experience: Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment (experience with sheet metal or semiconductor parts is a plus). ● Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent manual dexterity for working with small, intricate parts and precision hand tools. ● Technical Literacy: Abilityto read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and work instructions.● Detail Oriented: A strong focus on quality and the ability to spot minor defects during the finishing process. ● Physical Ability: Able to work in a shop environment, stand for long periods, and handle various metal components.
